Your Rights as a TTOC

All members of the NDTA, whether they are a teacher teaching on call or a teacher with either a temporary or continuing assignment, are protected by the Collective Agreement and are entitled equally to representation and assistance by the NDTA and the BCTF. If you have any questions or concerns, you are encouraged to contact the NDTA Office or talk to a Staff Rep at a school.

Benefits and Health & Safety

As a TTOC, you can now enroll in the district extended health and dental plan. Please make sure that you connect with the school district to know what your options are.
The BCTF Advantage Program also offers full extended health and dental programs for TTOCs. Please log into the member's portal on the BCTF website

Click on the following link to access the SD8 Teacher on Call Handbook 2013-2014 .  The handbook has much useful information for TTOCs such as call-out process, TTOC rate of pay & on scale and more.  Please familiarize yourself with this document and ensure that you contact the Staff Rep and Administration at the school you are working in if you have any problems.
