Your Rights as a TTOC
All members of the NDTA, whether they are a teacher teaching on call or a teacher with either a temporary or continuing assignment, are protected by the Collective Agreement and are entitled equally to representation and assistance by the NDTA and the BCTF. If you have any questions or concerns, you are encouraged to contact the NDTA Office or talk to a Staff Rep at a school.

As a TTOC, you can now enroll in the district extended health and dental plan. Please make sure that you connect with the school district to know what your options are.

Professional Development
As employees of Kootenay Lake School Distrist #8, and members of the Nelson District Teachers' Association, TTOCs can access any NDTA or Kootenay Lake School District sponsered Pro-D event. For events that have a registration fee, you may apply for Pro-D funds through our local Pro-D committee to a maximum of $200 per year. To learn more, please visit our Professional Development page.
