Response from Al Gribbin
Response to SD8 Board Chair Trenaman’s email dated February 6, 2023.   
While my name is not mentioned in either the above sd8’s email to the KLTF nor in the KLTF’s email of January 27, 2003, it is clear that I am the trustee who both of these letters are referring to. 
Since Chair Trenaman representing the current board has decided to accuse me of providing misinformation (being untruthful) to the public, I have a right to respond in my own defence. 
  1. I did not provide misinformation to the public nor the past board.  I have always been truthful in my role as trustee and will continue to do so. 
  2. I have always suggested and encouraged that the previous board obtain independent and impartial mediation or arbitration concerning any of my statements.  This is a process that I have always been willing to participate in and am still willing to engage in. 
  3. If I have been untruthful, that untruthfulness would be exposed in either of these processes. Ask yourself why I would voluntarily subject myself to a process that would expose me as a liar or being untruthful?  Conversely, why would the Board avoid this process?
  4. I had no knowledge of the letter from the KLTF of Jan. 27 from any source.  My first indication was after reading Chair Trenaman and the current board's response of Feb. 8.  I had been away on a family matter and had not been following my emails so I found this exchange as a complete surprise. 
  5. I have had many members of the public express the same concerns that have been brought up by the KLTF including regional district elected representatives.
